Between the 2nd and the 8th of March, Primary school Dramlje was host to fifteen students and seven teachers from our partner schools in project GOAL from Spain, Turkey and Bulgaria.
In order to further enhance the cooperation and enable our guest students an even better insight into our way of life and culture, we decided in excellent cooperation with the parents, to host them at our students' homes all over our school district. This turned out to be the right decision, judging from the friendships that formed during these days. In a similar fashion, the teachers of Primary school Dramlje hosted their colleagues from partner countries.
The programme of the mobility was carried out in full with minor alterations due to heavy snowfall. Our guests were present during several of our regular classes. We discussed the issue of tourism and young people and played tourist games with them at RA Kozjansko, were presented the educational programmes and ate a delicious lunch prepared in its entirety by the students at ŠC Šentjur, completed the theoretical and practical parts of the tourist trail and logo workshops under the guidance of our teacher Darko Petelinšek and our associate Boštjan Golež, ate home made delicacies prepared by the Dramlje Association of Rural Women on Uršula, had fun at the welcoming party, visited Celje castle, Pekel cave and Ljubljana, showed them snow and had a snowball fight on Rogla, rode the biggest horse in Slovenia at ranch Shire, had a traditional Sunday lunch at Čater inn and paid a visit to a modern and forward-looking Korenjak farm, where Mr. Korenjak showed us his extensive collection of old farm machines and farm tools, Mrs. Korenjak demonstrated the traditional way of baking bread and the young owner Martin Korenjak gave us a tour of the farm and presented his bold plans for the future. At the farm we also had the pleasure of listening to the traditional songs of our region performed by the singers of the Dramlje Cultural Society.
The mobility in Dramlje was undoubtedly a success. The first reactions of our guests were more than just positive. They were fascinated with the programme, Slovenia and Dramlje and quite a few are discussing the possibility of returning here after the end of the project.
